Brother, I'm one who left the church but NOT for the reasons of being hurt/offended, etc. There's another angle to look at this as well as what you are saying which is true also. My reason behind my vacating church after 40+ years was strictly based on... 1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; However, I do still have a fellowship group & accountability prayer warriors in my life. If God leads me to another church then I will attend. You see as a seasoned diciple of Christ of over 40yrs, my teacher is the Holy Spirit & I absolutely walk & live by faith. When God speaks, I have grown to KNOW His voice. In saying that this must be said as well... I'm NO BETTER than anyone else. This is available for ANYONE willing to put in the time, prayer, heart & sincere worship of God. He will draw close to those who seek & love Him with their whole heart. So when things began going way off track from His Word to the very obvious & there was no listening to their own counsel, it was time according to God with confirmation, to go ahead & leave. There was no drama but rather a simple no return. When a church begins to embrace what God calls an abomination, when sin is embraced rather than dealt with in love & patience, when the truth is manipulated to gain man's wishes rather than fulfilling the Word of God then it's time to pray for wisdom & direction. It may be a slow process or a instant one but we should never leave a church out of offense. IF we do, then we are in disobedience to God. Seek Him first, continue to pray over the situation & those involved but always obey the Word of God as to stay or go. Everything in HIS timing, not our own. One church I was a part of ended up losing 3 of their main pastors (2 guilty & one innocent yet as Rom 1:32 says, went along to get along) had a tragic death since they would not heed the many warnings of their own counsel along with many seasoned members of that church over the years. It grieves my heart to see the falling away yet at the same time we're ALL warned that in the last days, this WILL happen. One of my litmus tests now is; are they teaching & keeping the Sabbath & His feasts without the all the restricting religions laws of bondage or are they mixing & replacing the Word with Pagan holidays & traditions? Do they teach obedience to the Word, address sin in truth & love or embrace the world to fit in? Abba Father, please give us all eyes to see, ears to hear, a teachable heart with the desire, will & strength to OBEY Your Word without compromise... Please give us the Holy Spirit to teach us Your mysteries & draw us close to You & Your ways. In the Name of Yeshua.....

Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the person that offended you to die. I think that another reason for church hurt is when someone comes into the church wanting to find an excuse or validation for their sin and are faced with the truth and consequences of their sin.

One of your best videos! My husband serves as a pastor/missionary in Germany and the ”church hurt“ disease is here just like in the US. We need each other and the coming days are going to prove it!!!

If one walks in the flesh, he will want his will and that may lead to sin. If he walks in the Spirit, his mind is on Jesus with songs, devotions, Bible study, prayer, church attendance and tithes and witnessing - all of this to do the will of God. Therefore, walking in your will leads to sin, but walking in the Spirit leads to victory over sin.
